I need to switch attachments on my Ventrac- it’s super easy.
First, I’m gonna unhook the power bucket so I set it level on the floor.
These hydraulic hoses tend to leak a little bit, so I put a rag under them before removing.
Once the hoses are out of the way I connect the plugs to keep dirt out of the hydraulic system.
I raise the attachment locking lever, start the tractor, take the brake off, and back away.
I put blocking in front of any attachment with wheels.
Next I raise the mowing deck to its highest setting
With the tractor hitch all the way down, I drive slowly into the attachment, once past the lift tabs I raise the hitch till it’s parallel with the attachment arms; then I re-engage the locking lever.
I release the PTO belt tensioning rod and hook the belt over the pully- This one’s new so it’s a little tighter than normal. I push the level back in to retension the belt. @hausplans
