Samantha Markle’s lawyers have claimed in a court hearing that Meghan Markle lied about her relationship with her half-sister to “affirm the false narrative” that she went from “rags to riches”. The older Markle filed a $AU100,000 defamation lawsuit against the Duchess of Sussex for making “false and malicious” statements about her in the 2020 book ‘Finding Freedom’ and the now infamous 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey.
