Spoiler alert, we didn't have our baby in Ikea but we did have a lot of fun walking around the store, looking for more nursery things we needed and eating meatballs! We put our Ikea finds together and then chatted a little bit about the rest of the night and our plans for trying to get the ball rolling and help this little babe along. We're hoping we'll see him soon! We hope you had fun hanging out with us today! Thank you for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid, or maybe we wont.. we'll see! This momentous American adventure draws to a close with this decidedly tropical finale. 700 miles stand between our current position of Columbia SC and our ultimate target of Miami, and Greg and I are excited to hit the road once more. However when hurricane Ian makes an unexpected left turn, we are forced to abandon our plans to explore South Carolina and Georgia, and suddenly find ourselves in a race to beat the hurricane to the Floridian East coast, where we endure a nerve-racking nights sleep in the car. When angry Ian finally passes, we can finally begin our final hurrah. The original plan was to cruise into Miami on jet skis in incredibly 80s, Miami Vice-esque suits, and dance the night away to GTA Vice city songs. However this isn't exactly how it turned out...

Today I’m taking this Amtrak sleeper train across the USA from New York to Los Angeles. The journey will take around 62 hours, passing through 12 states and 3,000 miles. I’m actually taking my Dad along with me today so let’s see how we get on in a roomette, and then for the longer stage of the journey the Amtrak Bedroom. I’ll show you what the dining options are like for each meal, the variety of classes, from First Class to coach and how you shower onboard. This is one of the longest train journeys I’ve taken to date and I can’t wait to share with you each step of the way. 

Now this is a little different to many of my other train adventures, you can't exactly call this luxury but it's iconic and showcases the excitement of travelling across the entire continent of North America by train. You see things differently when crossing by rail.
