Detienen a Francisco Oropesa, sospechoso del tiroteo en Cleveland, Texas, dicen fuentes a CNN

Tras una búsqueda intensa que se extendió por varios días, Francisco Oropesa, el hombre señalado de perpetrar un tiroteo en Cleveland, Texas, está bajo custodia, dijeron a CNN dos fuentes policiales federales familiarizadas con la investigación.

El arresto se realizó en la ciudad de Cut and Shoot, Texas, según una fuente policial federal.

Cut and Shoot está aproximadamente a 27 kilómetros al oeste de Cleveland, donde ocurrió la masacre.

Los agentes vigilaron a la esposa de Francisco Oropesa hasta una casa cerca de Cut and Shoot, Texas, que estaba asociada con uno de los miembros de su familia, le dijo a CNN una fuente del orden público.

Agentes tácticos del Departamento de Seguridad Pública de Texas ingresaron a la casa y encontraron al sospechoso escondido en un armario.

A Francisco Oropesa, de 38 años, lo acusan de perpetrar una masacre contra sus vecinos el pasado viernes, que dejó cinco personas muertas, entre ellas una madre y su hijo de 9 años. Según las autoridades, Oropesa abrió fuego después de que los vecinos le pidieran que dejara de disparar su rifle tan cerca de su casa.

Inicialmente, los investigadores comenzaron a rastrear a Oropesa usando su teléfono celular, pero dijeron que la pista se desvaneció la noche del sábado y no tenían información sobre su paradero desde entonces.

Water is spilling over an emergency berm in Union Pacific Railroad's causeway across the Great Salt Lake. What that means is lake levels have risen to the point where water is again reaching the north arm of the lake.
