BOAT Full of TRASH Fish…Catch Clean Cook- Bonito (False Albacore)

My buddy Chris invited me to offshore out of Jupiter, Florida. We spent the day drift fishing for bonito aka false albacore or Little Tuny. These fish are often referred to as trash fish and most people do not eat them! They sell for around 50 cents a pound which is very low for a tuna fish species. They are delicious and the myth that they are trash needs to be put to rest. They just need to be iced properly and the bloodline needs to be removed for the best eating experience!

►The Mustad Vertical Jigs we caught fish on: My favorites are the Daggerman and Moonriser Styles in 3oz, 5oz and 7oz which equates to roughly the 100g, 150g and 200g sizes.
